DESCRIPTION: This pure milking gyr female was imported from the great Chamizal herd in Mexico. The milking gyr cattle have gained tremendous popularity in the US over the past couple of years. We have imported 38 of these milking females over the last 3 years and sold all of them except the handful we kept to start our own herd. There are now several progressive breeders that are milking these great cattle and keeping production records on them. If you really want to get in on the ground floor of an exploding industry, now is your chance. As far as we know the only milking gyr cattle sold at auction in the US are the ones that sold in our “Something Special CEBU Sale” over the past couple of years. This market is exploding and I had to hold this female back to put in this sale as there were multiple opportunities to sell her over the past year. With the onset of COVID-19 the industry has blossomed as more and more producers want to produce their own milk products at home. This great female is bred to the National Champion Gyr bull of Mexico in 2015 “Gondal” that has produced eye appealing productive females and bulls across the globe. There are growing numbers of breeders in California, Texas, Georgia, North and South Carolina, Florida and Louisiana. We are not planning to bring any more of these milking gyr from Mexico as their market has exploded and the availability is severely limited. Do not pass up this opportunity!
