Indio is being used extensively in our Sardo Negro program to breed to our Mariachi daughters. He was imported from our good friend Miguel Angel Aramburo that has one of the finest herds of Sardo Negro in Mexico. This young heifer was just weaned and is started on halter. WAIT! There’s more. The dam of 243 is also imported from the Puente De Dios herd of Miguel Angel Aramburo. She is one of 5 Sardo Negro cows that we have imported to start our herd. When the Sardo Negro herd book was opened a couple of years ago and they were recognized as a breed, the demand exploded and many breeders are looking for females to start their herds.
