Alcom was part of a flush in Mexico that yielded 3 herd bulls that would make their way to Texas. Butler Farms purchased Alcom with the other two going to Bullseye Ranch and Danny Acevedo’s AA ranch. The mating of JDH Woodson De Manso and the beautiful JDH Union daughter belonging a Jorge Valles in Tizimin, Mexico, produced a very consistent set of calves that will leave their mark on the breed. Alcom sired the 2 top ADG bulls in the most recent ABBA Performance Bull Test. He also produced bulls that scanned 3.47 and 3.41 IMF on the test. His feet have never needed trimming. We have used him for the second year in a row on our heifers and to date have had no problems with the calves being born unassisted. His calves have a beautiful phenotype and are very pleasing to the eye with an added bonus of being naturally gentle animals. We have not offered semen before on Alcom and this will be the last opportunity to purchase semen until our “Something Special Sale” in May 2020.
