DESCRIPTION:  +DB SOUTHERN STYLE 33/3. the sire of LOT 1 - DB SOUTHERN STYLE 2/100,  is a bull that has really influenced our DB Southern Style Red Brahman program. Many consider +DB SOUTHERN STYLE 33/3 to be the best son produced by +HK MR. AMERICA 61/9, or as many will know him, “THE MILLIONAIRE”. +HK Mr. America 61/9 “THE MILLIONAIRE” has been called “THE MANSO” of the Red Brahman breed, and rightly so, as he revolutionized the Red Brahman cattle breed. Tragically, my dear friend Henry Clay Koontz, the breeder of “THE MILLIONAIRE”, was killed in an automobile accident in 1985 so it is truly an honor to have Red Brahman breeders around the globe tell us they believe +DB SOUTHERN STYLE 33/3 is “THE MILLIONAIRE’S” best son, as 61/9 produced many distinguished herd sires and celebrated daughters----way too numerous to mention.  

Even though he was born 40 years ago, he offers traits still sought after today. +DB SOUTHERN STYLE 33/3 has been used around the world to produce cattle with meat, soundness, good dispositions, and exceptional color. The three most well-known progeny of 33/3 in the Detering Red Brahman herd would have to be DB ATLAS 1/328, our 2019 ABBA International Grand Champion bull; DB SOUTHERN STYLE 13/01 “FEATHER”, our TWO-TIME ABBA PREMIER SHOW COW OF THE YEAR female and DB SOUTHERN STYLE 04/0, the dam of DB SOUTHERN STYLE 660/9, our 2012 Panama World Brahman Congress Reserve Grand Champion Female. We are excited about all the champion progeny that DB ATLAS 1/328 is currently producing, and believe he follows in his sire’s pattern of producing outstanding progeny. DB SOUTHERN STYLE 13/01 “FEATHER”, as many will remember, was sold to Ganaderia El Caney, one of the top breeders in Colombia for Red Brahman cattle and DB SOUTHERN STYLE 04/0 produced cattle for DB outside of the USA, as she produced our female that was so successful in Panama.

+DB SOUTHERN STYLE 33/3 was born in 1983 and there is a limited amount of semen available. We have never offered it in a public auction, but wanted to really bring some of the best of the Detering Red Brahman genetics to share with our fellow Red Brahman breeders. We are offering ONE straw of semen on +DB SOUTHERN STYLE 33/3 with FIVE certificates. We feel like 33/3 represents some of the best of our Southern Style Red Brahmans.
