Eclipse is sired by the great Eclipse Sire that was imported from the herd of Capitan Rovelo of Tizimin, Mexico. Her dam is a pure Guzerat female resulting from two imported Guzerat animals from Mexico. The Guzerat breed is a dual purpose breed developed in Brazil by using mostly the Kankrej breed from India. They are milked in many parts of Central and South America. Eclipse will make a tremendous cow to produce Guzerat or cross with Brahman or dairy breeds such as Jersey or Holstein.
