DESCRIPTION:  If you follow our program you might remember that in last year’s sale we offered a BLACK POLLED heifer that was the high seller fetching $22,500. We took the same embryos that produced that heifer and implanted some to create this pregnant recipient that is due around November 2, 2023. Based on the previous offspring it would be expected that the resulting calf should be black, growthy, heavy structured, deep bodied, and super attractive. The sire to this package is Mr. MCC Polled Smoke 14/9 (P) who was a show bull and one of the most popular black polled sires in the breed today.   Polled Smoke is by Mr. +S Polled Negro 626 who is the result of crossing +JME Mr. Suva Crat 225 with the 2010 International Champion and dam to the 2022 International & National Champion +Lady H Lisa Manso 947/7.  The dam to Smoke combines the genetics of V8 Ranch, J.D. Hudgins, Inc. and J.H. Novak. The dam to the resulting calf is Miss JS/CLF Polled Aspen who was the pick of the flushmates from Ryan Robinson that also consisted of a $15,000 International Sale feature and a National Show Division Winner. Polled Aspen was shown and is sired by Mr. V8 733/7 (P) “Polled Phenom” who is a full brother to +Mr. V8 458/7 “Noble” and is out of +Miss V8 120/7 a daughter of +Mr. V8 380/6 and +Miss V8 997/6 who has 88 registered progeny.
