As you look through the catalog, we cannot express the excitement that is going on around here due to the quality of the brahman and F-1 cattle that have been assembled for your consideration. We are incredibly excited about this offering, as we have selected some of the best cattle in the breed to complete your herd! This sale was assembled with a focus on quality and diversity throughout the breed, so we hope you realize the opportunity we are offering YOU. Proxy Bidding on Best Cattle Sales
Each animal will be sold to the highest bidder. Proxy bids will be accepted for all LIVE lots BEFORE the sale the sale order is determined on August 23rd. After the sale order is set bids can still be made on all lots, but not proxy bids. If there is a proxy bid on a lot during the sale we will consider the online proxy bid to be the winning bid over any tie bids taken in the auction house as that bid would have been submitted BEFORE the bid was taken in the house. Example of a tie bid; Lot XX has a current bid of $4500 online and has a proxy bid of $5000 that is an anonymous bid online. When the auctioneer asks and gets a bid for $5000 from a live bidder at the stockyards, the online system will show the proxy bid of $5000 as the winning bid. So the tied high bid goes to the internet proxy bid. If the bidder in the stockyard bids again they will be the winning bidder. This only applies to tie bids.

This Sale will feature the Best Cattle Sales “All Bids In – All Lots Sold” or a modified “Horse Race” style closing format.
The sale starts to close at 6:55 PM on closing day as it takes 5 minutes of no bidding on ANY lot for the sale to close. If there is no bidding between 6:55 PM and 7 PM on closing day the sale will close. If there is a bid on ANY lot the sale remains open UNTIL all bidding activity ends. Every time there is a bid the clock resets and another 5 minutes is added to closing time. It is suggested to all bidders to watch your lots until the sale is completely closed.
Example 1: Auction closes at 7:00 PM. There is no bidding from 6:55 PM to 7:00 PM. All lots are declared closed and the sale ends at 7:00 PM.
Example 2: Auction closes at 7:00 PM. There is a bid placed at 6:56 PM and countdown clock resets to 5 minutes. Auction is extended. No more bidding occurs. All lots are declared closed and the sale ends at 7:01 PM.
Example 3: Auction closes at 7:00 PM. There is a bid placed at 6:57 PM and countdown clock resets to 5 minutes. Auction is extended until 7:02 PM. Another bid is placed at 7:00 PM. Another bid is placed at 7:04 PM. Another bid is placed at 7:08 PM and countdown clock resets to 5 minutes. Auction is extended. No more bids are placed. All lots are declared closed.

TERMS & CONDITIONS
Terms of the sale are cash or check to the clerk at the conclusion of the sale.
Bidding:
Each animal will be sold to the highest bidder. The auctioneer will settle any dispute as to the bid. Each animal will be at the purchaser’s risk as soon as sold, but will not be delivered until settlement has been made.
Breeding Guarantee:
Every animal in this sale is, to the best of the breeder’s knowledge, free from any disease and are all sound. If an animal fails to breed after a trail of six months, it may be returned to the seller in good condition. Seller reserves the right to try said animal for a trial of six months and if it proves to be a breeder, return it at the buyer’s expense. If the animal proves to be a non breeder, an animal of comparable rank or credit on the purchase of another animal will be offered. Cows with calves at side are considered breeders with no further guarantee.
Certificate:
A certificate of registration will be mailed directly to the buyer.
Announcements:
Announcements from the auction box will take precedence over the printed information in this catalog. All cattle will be sold by lot numbers as announced by the auctioneer.
Health:
All animals sell with an interstate health certificate.
Liability:
All persons who attend the sale do so at their own risk and owners and sale managers assume no liability, legal or otherwise, for any accidents that may occur.
Rights and Obligations:
The terms and conditions of this sale shall constitute a contract between buyers and sellers of each animal and shall be equally binding upon both. Neither the owner, the sale manager, nor any person connected with the management of the sale assume liability, legal or otherwise.
ALL GUARANTEES ARE BETWEEN THE BUYER AND THE SELLER.
Trucking: There will be people available to haul.
HOW TO REGISTER TO THESE SALES
The first thing you need to do is make sure you are signed up to bid. If you have never signed up you will need to sign up on our Sign Up Page. On the Sign Up Page you will be asked to create an account. See the below image for an example of the form.
You will also be asked to create a username and password. You MUST have a valid email address in order to register. Remember to hit SUBMIT at the end.
You are almost finished and ready to REGISTER for the sale! Simply check your email and activate you account. Once you click on the verification of your email you will see this screen.
If you do not see the above screen then you should see this screen and you can request for the verification email to be resent.
If you do not get the verification email please check your spam folder or contact Victoria Lambert at 713-806-3998 for assistance or send us an email and we will help get your email verified.
Once you are signed into your account you will need to register for the sale. On the home page of Best Cattle Sales look in the drop down for the category/ name of the sale. Remember – You MUST be signed into your account in order to REGISTER. Look for the RED button that says Register For Auction. You will only need to REGISTER one time.
