DESCRIPTION: RedSmith Layla Rojo 91/3 is a flushmate to lot 4 and one of only two red heifers selling. Much like her sister 91/3 is dark red, super feminine, and complete made. One of the strong suits of Layla Rojo is her outstanding pedigree that combines one of the most recognized cows in the breed with a popular outcross sire. The dam to 91/3 is Lady H Willa Rojo 243/8 who was a many time Champion and 2021 Premier Red Cow of Florida. Lady H Willa Rojo 243/8 graced the cover of The Brahman Journal and is one of the darkest red, longest bodied and most ultra-feminine females that you will find. Willa is a daughter of HK Visa Volunteer 244 a sire that has been used around the world with much success and combines many of the legendary bulls in the breed to include HK Visa Brasil, +Mr. 3H X-Ray 825, and +HK Passport. The dam to Willa is Lady H Mandy Rojo 583/4 who was a successful show heifer winning numerous championships that is sired by the breed icon +Mr. Winchester Magnum 999 and out of a donor owned by ST Genetics. The sire to Layla Rojo is Watkins Cattle Company’s Mr. WCC 296/8 “Big Red”. For those that might not be familiar with “Big Red” he was an undefeated class winner in Ft. Worth, San Antonio, and Houston. “Big Red” is an outcross sire to many of today’s popular bloodlines. During his show career ST Genetics saw “Big Red” and added him to their sire line up due to his rugged build, deep red color and outcross pedigree.
