When we got the opportunity to purchase MISS V8 37/8 from Brandon and Rachel Cutrer we knew she was going to be an integral part of our breeding program going forward. Fast forward two years, and she has not only raised the 2022 ABBA National Champion Bull for BR Cutrer, BRC HEY DUDE 118, but then she laid down and raised this natural bull calf by the great +M2 BRC Captain 518/1 that was exactly what we were hoping for when we made the purchase of this phenomenal female.
DPE CAPTAIN 'MR. HOOK' combines some of the most consistent and sought after genetics in the Brahman breed. He is sired by +M2 BRC CAPTAIN 518/1, who has set the breed on fire over the past few years and most recently sired the 2023 ABBA International GRAND Champion Brahman female at the 2023 Houston Livestock Show. The bottom side of Captain’s pedigree brings together such great cow families as +MISS V8 341/7, +JDH LADY PITMAN MANSO, and +JDH LADY JENNESSA MANSO 347/3. On the dam’s side of DPE CAPTAIN 'MR. HOOK' we bring in her sire, +MR. V8 194/7, who has been a birthweight, marbling, and maternal trait leader for the past decade. Study his four-generation pedigree… of the 62 ancestors on the four-generation pedigree, 48 are either Register Of Renown, Maternal Merit, or a Maternal Performance Sire.
