TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. All bidders must pre-register before the auction and will be required to present a valid driver’s license for copy. Once registered, the bidder will receive a numbered buyer’s card.
2. All settlements will be made by cash or check immediately following the close of the auction.
3. Online bidders will pre-register at www.bestcattlesales.com. Online bidders will be emailed an invoice for each winning lot and contacted at the close of the auction for settlement and trucking details. Cash, check, or wire transfer will be accepted.
4. All animals will be identified by lot number.
5. The opening bid price will be $3,000 on open heifers; $3,500 on bred heifers; $4,500 on cow/calf pairs; $3,000 on bulls. If animals do not meet the minimum, they will be considered “No Sale”.
6. All animals will be available for viewing after 9:00 A.M. on Friday, December 5, 2025.
7. Cattle will be sold according to lot number at 12:30 P.M. on Saturday, December 6, 2025. Any changes or addendums will be announced on sale day.
8. Trucking will be available on sale day at buyer expense. Cattle may not be loaded until after the conclusion of the auction, the animal is paid for, and a load out ticket is issued by the clerk and presented to the load out manager. All animals, once sold, become the sole responsibility of the buyer.
9. All sale animals must be registered by consignor prior to being listed in the sale catalog.
10. All weaning age animals being sold without the dam at side, must be weaned 30 days prior to the auction.
11. Bulls over 12 months of age at the time of the sale, must pass a Breeding Soundness Exam (BSE) and be Trichomoniasis tested negative by a licensed veterinarian.
12. All females being sold as bred, must be pregnancy checked, or blood tested to verify pregnancy.
13. A current health certificate is required on each animal consigned upon arrival at the sale. After the auction, health certificates will be transferred to all sold animals as required for shipping.
14. Registration certificates will be transferred to the buyer at the expense of Southern Select Cattle. The buyer is responsible for submitting the proper contact information and SPGCA member number (if applicable) to the clerk for making transfers.
15. Phone bids will be accepted, but arrangements must be made in advance- please see Rule 1.
16. All persons who attend this sale do so at their own risk. Southern Select Cattle, Laurens Livestock, Best Cattle Sales and cattle consignors assume no liability or otherwise for any accidents that may occur.
17. All consignors must be current members of the SPGCA.
18. All transactions are between the seller and buyer.

HOW TO REGISTER

The first thing you need to do is make sure you are signed up to bid. If you have never signed up you will need to sign up on our Sign Up Page. On the Sign Up Page you will be asked to create an account. See the below image for an example of the form.

You will also be asked to create a username and password. You MUST have a valid email address in order to register. Remember to hit SUBMIT at the end.

You are almost finished and ready to REGISTER for the sale! Simply check your email and activate you account. Once you click on the verification of your email you will see this screen.

If you do not see the above screen then you should see this screen and you can request for the verification email to be resent.

If you do not get the verification email please check your spam folder or contact Victoria Lambert at 713-806-3998 for assistance or send us an email and we will help get your email verified.

Once you are signed into your account you will need to register for the sale. On the home page of Best Cattle Sales  look in the drop down for the category/ name of the sale. Remember – You MUST be signed into your account in order to REGISTER.  Look for the RED button that says Register For Auction. You will only need to REGISTER one time.
